Our Mission
Crown Agents Bank (CAB) is a global wholesale bank, regulated in the UK that connects emerging and frontier markets to the rest of the world, using FX and payments technology.
FX and cross-border payments are often challenging and expensive when operating in hard-to-reach markets. This is why CAB aims to build the world’s best platform to move money to, from, and across hard-to-reach markets, sometimes where no one else can offer such a service. This enables them to connect to the global economy so that money can move where it’s needed.
We aim to, and in many cases already do, work with the most important and impactful organisations, including FinTech, Banks and International Development Organisations. We are an engineering team working on mission-critical products, making a real difference in the lives of the people in those countries.
The role
As an engineer at CAB, you’ll be part of a rapidly growing, cross-functional team working in an agile environment. You’ll work closely with architects, BAs, and Product Managers, so teamwork and cross-team collaboration are essential. · Build new features to expand the capabilities of our platform.
- Research and design creative solutions to meet the challenges of delivering technology in developing countries.
- Identify and help fix performance bottlenecks across the whole stack.
- Support the operation of our products.
Our current event-driven ecosystem is written in a mix of languages, including Java and Kotlin; we use Postgres as our primary datastore and React/JavaScript as our frontend.
We are utilising AWS cloud native technologies to power our infrastructure.
